The fridge was just delivered 2 weeks ago, so I can't give a reliability review. I can say it's attractive and I love the shallow depth, as my kitchen is small. The only odd things about the interior design are 1. you have to open both doors to access the contents of the lowest drawer. I don't see how that's energy efficient. 2. the glass shelves do not extend all the way to the back of the fridge, which means small items can slip down, or larger items can tip backwards. I assume, hopefully, that's so air can circulate. Otherwise, it's a pain.

Like the counter depth . Found out yesterday an alarm will sound if door is left open . Good ice maker and water dispenser. Only had one issue . The handle on freezer door was loose after delivery men left. Husband tightened but feels loose again .

We bought this refrigerator in late June for our new home. We had owned KitchenAid appliances in the past and had been happy with them. After we moved into the house we noticed frosting around the ice maker and assumed we were not getting the door closed properly. We began paying attention and noticed no problem with the closure. We contaced the dealer and a technician was sent. He leveled the refrigerator and replaced the seal in the freezer door. That was a month ago and the frost buildup is worse than ever. We are very disappointed.

I have had this frig for over a year. I love it. I went to clean the freezer and found out that you cannot remove the drawers without taking the drawer front off. There is not way to clean the bottom of the freezer unless you are a contortionist. I also found out the dividers are not adjustable. A little disappointed, reason for 3 star rating.

Freezer door handle fell off within 3 months

Great fridge on the inside but handles are poorly made. When the person delivered the fridge, we noticed the freezer door handle was a little loose. He ensured us that is how they are supposed to be (red flag). Eventually the handle came all the way loose and detached from door - scratching the freezer paint on the door. Also, the tabs on the Fruit and Veggie drawers are terrible. The drawer constantly gets stuck on them making us pull the drawer as hard as we can to get them unstuck.

I switched from stainless and couldn't be happier!!! I was sick and tired of the fingerprints and smudges on the stainless. The white finish on this fridge is smooth and beautiful (not like the old timey white fridges of the past). I had a Viking with the same exact features and configuration, so I like that... it's something I'm used to... The ice maker is also very efficient. I've had the fridge for over a month. It was expensive and I typically get buyers remorse...but not this time. I'd buy it again! It looks amazing in a white kitchen!

I've owned this fridge for just over a year now and have only one complaint, the stainless doors have numerous dents in them. I called and had a service man out immediately after it was delivered but was told that's the way they all are. A second service man told me corporate would just say I damaged them so there's nothing he can do! The ones on display at the stores don't look like mine so I don't believe that's how it is suppose to be. Makes me sick every time I look at it.

I bought the prior version of this fridge (the KRFC300ESS01) three+ years ago and within the first year had to have the stainless steel doors replaced because they rusted. Now, the logic board in the control unit has broken, and we are expected to pay almost $500 to have it fixed. Fridges are supposed to last 30 years, not 3. Very disappointed :(

We love it! The ice is in the freezer where it should be without taking up room in the fridge part. The counter depth is great. I no longer lose food on the back of the shelf. The bright interior light is so helpful. It runs quietly. It was difficult to find a white fridge that also had the features we wanted, so we're very satisfied. The delivery men were very capable and pleasant.

We needed a counter depth refrigerator with french doors, bottom freezer, and no ice/water dispenser on a door. We also required a high capacity ice maker in the bottom freezer on a pullout shelf. This KitchenAid was exactly what was required. The only drawback is that it was quite noisy at first and needed a service call the first week.

This fridge looks great. That is about all that is good about it. We had the fridge for a month and the ice maker has been replaced. It was incorrectly installed during manufacturing so that it was not level causing water to overflow the ice maker and flood the freezer with water. Frozen on the rails of the freezer rendering it impossible to open the freezer. The freezer drawers are cheep baskets so things constantly fall through. The refrigerator drawers are cheep plastic and you feel like you will break them. They do not slide well. We have a kitchen aid double over, induction stove top and hood. I am so disappointed with this refrigerator.

I've been waiting for this this refrigerator for over a month and was happy to finally have it installed. The ice maker and water dispenser are what makes this refrigerator extra special. I have had my refrigerator for 2 1/2 years. I get tired of retrieving ice from the floor of the freezer or even the kitchen floor. You have to stand on your head to get it off the freezer floor. Maybe a deeper pan would have helped. But love the indoor water dispenser.

Purchased this because the old fridge would heat up intermittently and two repair techs were unable to determine why. The freezer drawer is strange as it opens more on the left than on the right. The KitchenAid tech said that this is how the new fridges are designed. Otherwise so far so good.

Purchased this 2 weeks ago and very happy that I ordered counter depth to maintain a clean galley look in my kitchen. At first I had reservations about the cubic feet as I had downsized on such buying this model. But there is more than enough cubic feet for hubby and myself. It also forced me to enchance my shopping habits because I admittedly over bought with our previous refrig which had a larger cubic imprint...and I tossed out a lot a spoiled vegetables in particular....lol. Ice machine works well although it is an adjustment to acquire such with its location in the bottom freezer. Also an adjustment to obtain water as it is located within the refrig itself. Lastly the ice maker is much noisier than our previous refrig of a different brand. The vegetable and fruit drawers seem to be triggered slightly open when one accesses the drawer underneath. I think that is a feature Kitchen Aid needs to address.
So far so good. Will know more as time goes by so recommendations are based upon 2 weeks only.

We went into the appliance store with an open mind. We knew what we wanted to pay or were willing to pay and we got what we wanted with features that work for us. Not really hot on the freezer but we can live with the layout. Not the best for us.

I bought this early 2017. One panel of the stainless steel exterior is spontaneously corroding. There were no nicks or spoils to cause this. Just low quality stainless steel. Of course, the warranty on these is so short, there isn't anything to be done.

We purchased this model after a very dissatisfying experience with two other models of a different brand. What a difference! Quiet! Versatile! Convenient to use! We get numerous comments from guests about the design of the handles, how nice they look! Overall this is a great model and I wish we had purchased this first!

We just got this fridge about 60 days ago. We like it a lot - roomier than we thought, a wine rack that doesn't hamper space needed for other storage. Only negative -- the drawers are flimsier than we'd like -- not as sturdy as our previous fridge.

I bought this 3 months ago and had to have a repair call within 2 months. Every time the filter ran at the top of the refrigerator, it sounded like an old Model T starting up. It was replaced, and the product is running fine now. I like the configuration, but I wish the drawers were a little more substantial in how they pull out.

I bought this fridge less than one month ago. The fridge has stopped cooling below 60 F. The freezer still works but the fridge portion is completely useless. I contacted kitchenaid over a week ago for a fix. I was first told by Monday at the latest. It's now Tuesday and no word on a fix time. The latest I was told is they have no control over the independent contractor they hire for the fix and have no idea when it will be fixed. Kitchenaid has been no help at all in getting my fridge fixed. Appalling customer service on top of a poor quality product.

Purchased 8 months ago. Have had 3 service calls already. The seal on the Freezer door did not seal properly as it had come away from the door. We have been waiting over 4 months for the new replacement part. Still no idea when it will be repaired. We also wrote a letter to the Customer Experience Department over 2 months ago and still are waiting for a reply. Disappointing service.

After the installers left and I unpackaged the wrapping i identified a dent in the lleft door. Also water and ice stopped working after they left. It took two additional service calls to fix the water, and I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for a replacement door. I also had to argue for the water repair, as they said i advised them one day after the 48 hour grace period. It was the weekend!!! I like the refrigerator but delivery and service has not been customer friendly. As a side note, the second serviceman was very nice and helpful.
