I bought this vent. It works. It's very loud, which is fine. However, the buttons are no longer readable (see photo). I don't understand why KitchenAid would use painted letters on top of plastic that would obviously wear off. I have no idea how those would be changed out, or if they can be changed out.
Also, the glass lenses that protect the halogen lights have a horrible clip that holds them in place. Because they are glass lenses, you have to be very careful not to break the glass, which isn't easy given the amount of force necessary to replace the lenses after changing the bulb. Be prepared to change these every 2 years.

This vent came with our home. It's probably not one I would have picked simply because the buttons controlling the fan and light are very small and not easy too read. Also the symbols on the buttons are small and faint in color (not much contrast). But it does work well.

A few of the issues might not have anything to do with kitchen aid reguardless not happy. To start the item had a small dent in it only to be revealed after the plastic was removed. Second I have standard sized cabinets and this good range didn't fit all the way to the back when it was installed leaving a large gap in the back I spoke with both kitchen aid and the retailer I purchased this good from and neither could explain what went wrong or if there was a fix. Lastly after about a month of use a error warning started popping up to clean the grease trap. It seems kind of odd that would happen considering it had only been used a few times. Overall I am not satisfied with this order or the customer service I received.

Upgraded to this dishwasher for new home we built. Bad odor when I open the dishwasher door. Cleans well, and is very quiet. But the odor is a problem.

Ours is about 2.5 years old. It stopped running recently. Just hums when turned on. I removed the blower and took apart to find the issue. Everything was cleaned and inspected with no clear damage to report. After putting it back together (easy process) and reinstalling it in the hood, it continued to do the same thing. new motor is about $500 to replace, almost half of a new one. I will not buy this again our spend money on replacing the blower just to have it happen again.

Found this under cabinet ventilation hood while doing research to find a stylish non-commercial level set of appliances for a kitchen update. The looks and features are great; best unit that I have seen for a builder retrofit unit. Love the LED lighting, quiet operation especially on low speed and the washable grease filters. Not sure if I will use the timed fan feature at this time. Have only had it installed for about 1 week now and it works well.

We purchased KitchenAid because of a supposed reputation for quality. That is not the case. This hood has been less than a year and the blower wheel came apart. I have tried to get the part but I am told I must replace the entire blower assembly when it is only the blower wheel that is bad. The most expensive blower wheel is around 1/3 the cost of the blower assembly. The blower wheel is super easy to replace but they won't sell it to you by it's self. In addition, the wheel is made of plastic and comes apart because of the heat. ( It is a cook top hood and the blower wheel comes apart because it can't take the heat ) The people are ignorant to deal with and the wheel is junk. It should be made of metal not plastic. We paid a lot of money for the hood but it is junk. I would not recommend KitchenAid to anyone and I am going to file a formal complaint.

No review yet, but while the kitchen is under construction I turned the hood on and didn't feel much uplift on the unit. A little concerned, but until we actually use it I cannot say for sure how I feel about it.

This product pairs perfectly with the 36-Inch 4 Burner with Griddle, Gas Rangetop, Commercial-Style (KGCU463VSS) it has very powerful suction and is sleek in style. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is extremely loud. This isn't unusual for the amount of power it has though. Be sure to clean it after cooking, as it does collect some liquid drops underneath when cooking with oil.

We used the recirculating kit since our vent is setup to downdraft. But it still works well and looks great. The only potential issue is, since it recirculates inside the house, I have to change filters every 6 months and they look a little difficult to get to.

This is an average range hood. The plastic Exhaust piece that fits on the top does not seal and air leaks out at the top surface of the hood. I had to put lot of duct tape to seal it. This item is not worth the price.
