Purchase 5 months ago with a downdraft vent. Cooking is a joy with this cooktop. The middle burner heats pots of water quickly. The simmer burner is great too. The grates are very heavy and are easy to clean. A real quality product. Only wish this model had the metal knobs instead of the plastic. I rated everything 5 stars except the Features due to the plastic knobs but have decided to replace them with metal to complete the look of the appliance. I would definitely purchase this again.

I recently had a gas line installed and wish I had done this earlier in my cooking years. I hated my smooth top electric, and always wanted to convert to gas. I looked for a long time at cooktops, online then in and out of stores. this unit had everything I wanted, five burners, grates that were cast iron and lifted up but not come free, unless you wanted to disingage, so you are not scratching the stainless, much easier to clean. Only wish the knobs were metal instead of plastic, but not a deal breaker.

I've had this cooktop for six months. Overall, I've been very pleased and love the different size burners. The grates are very heavy, and it is a nice visual addition to our kitchen. However, I removed a star for the knobs. They are plastic, feel very cheap and will melt if you place a hot pan near them (my husband melted two the first week - not cheap to replace). Additionally, the knobs are placed fairly far back into the cooktop. If you are used to a different layout, they can be cumbersome as you get used to their placement.

Really like the stainless steel look. Is well made with one exception, that being the five cheap plastic turn on/off switches. When you take them off, they are as light as plastic can be. With regular use, the shiny plastic veneer will wear off, unsightly to put it mildly. Considering the price of this cooktop, stainless steel should have been what the switches are made of.
